LeEco Letv Le1 Pro X800 (US version/Review & Unboxing) Best value for money? (

• For EU find the Le1 Pro here at efox:
• For US/CN find the Le1 Pro here at efox:

Hey guys, this is my full review of the LeEco Letv Le1 Pro X800 (US version). At the moment I have a cold so sorry if my voice is a bit groggy. The brand/company was before called Letv but they recently changed their name to LeEco that stands for Le Ecosystem, as they now sell a lot of different products, not only smartphones.

The LeEco Letv Le1 Pro X800 is not anymore the newest device, in fact it has been on the market for some time. But recently the price dropped on this model to only €179.99 ($205). Before that it was priced 300-400 USD. So currently this may be one of the best phones you can get for a low price, because the build quality and hardware is very high and currently better than any other phone in the same priceclass.

In this video I also show you how to upgrade the US firmware that the phone comes with out of the box. The reason for that is that the stock ROM is not recommended as the browser and Youtube app is a bit buggy. After you have made the simple firmware update (shown in my video at time 5:06) these things will run 100% stable and fine and this phone can be 100% recommended.

Download the fastboot EFOX ROM updates here (Drivers are included):
- Efox US ROM 1 Update here:
- Efox US ROM 2 Update here:

Camera samples here:

Do NOT flash the original Chinese Letv ROMs on the US variant as it will brick the device. If you have bricked it (dead, only found as Qualcomm HS-USB 9008) you can unbrick it using the info and downloads on my blog here

PROS / Good sides:
- Gyroscope + Compass
- Super good price
- Very good build quality & design
- Fast SoC and high quality hardware
- Good 2K display and 4GB RAM
- Very nice camera quality and 4K video support
- Mute button on the side

CONS / Bad sides:
- US version not compatible with the CN firmwares
- US ROM has no wireless update function
- No microSD card support
- Max 1 day with the battery
- No band20 LTE
- eUI may not be everyones taste
- Black border around the display is very visible

LeEco Letv Le1 Pro X800 specifications:
- 5.5 inch Quad HD 2K Sharp screen, 2560x1440 pixels, 538 PPI
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2.0GHz Octa Core
- 4GB LPDDR4 RAM + 64GB Storage
- Cameras: 13 MP OIS Sony IMX214 main + 4 Ultrapixels front
- Dual tone flash LEDs
- 3000mAh battery
- Unibody metalbody

How to unbrick the US version of the LeTV Le1 Pro X800 (64GB)

So you bricked your LeTV L1 Pro X800 US (64GB version) because you flashed a Chinese ROM? or something went wrong with TWRP? and now the device is stone dead with a black screen?

This is how to unbrick it, only if it is still found on the PC when connected as "Qualcomm HS-USB 9008" in device management. When it is bricked you can also not enter Recovery or Fastboot mode.

Follow this guide here on xda by viperdream26 (all credits goes to him!)

Download the package "QFIL_X800_HARD_BRICK_FIX" from here: (my mirror)!G0ozxZwb!vowHBNjQGC1AtVOx2ThrWpYt6yHEnAACFvq90XDF4n0

After you have unbricked you must flash EFOX rom via Fastboot called x1_na_fastboot_Lang_EKL.rar (160519) to get the full storage again. Else you may only see 9GB storage after you unbricked. And you may also have problems with charging the phone. UPDATE 2, flash afterwards also this firmware here (160605) from EFOX.

Hot to enter FASTBOOT? (Pinguin icon): is done with pressing POWER + VOLUME DOWN at the same time for some seconds until you see the Pinguin.

RTS DLP Projector (Texas Instruments) - Affordable Pocket Projector with Miracast (

Get the RTS DLP from Gearbest here:
The RTS DLP Projector (Texas Instruments) is a mini/pocket projector with 1000 lumen. Very good for video, pictures & text. It doesn't have any Android OS built-in, but that is also not necessary as it supports Miracast / WiFi-Direct where you can connect any smartphone over WiFi and stream the content to the projector.

The RTS DLP has a built-in big battery, speaker and a USB port (just connect a USB stick or harddrive with some movies!) so it can be used while you are on the go. For the money this projector is IMO great value! You can also connect a gaming console or TV box directly to the HDMI port. And with the IR remote it is very easy to control.

How about 32MP selfies? MediaTek says you can, with the Helio X20

No doubt in the recent years, the development of ARM microprocessors has taken a great leap on its development, arriving at a performance level that is quite difficult to move forward. Multi-core vs single-core performance, power efficiency, 32-bit vs 64-bit were been some points used by most manufacturers to keep the boat sailing in a bright future.

For a long time Qualcomm has played a big role in the market, with their top tier Snapdragon processors being used by the most part of big OEMs out there. Behind them was MediaTek that started to show some significant growth on the 3 past years after making it big in the entry-level market. However the Taiwanese company has always been a step back of its main competitor, at least until this year.

The new range of processors presented by MediaTek in 2015 put the company in a new level, and the failure of the Snapdragon 810 was a good reason for some companies to start looking for other options. That made the Helio X10, Mediatek top-range processor a big player in this year, being the option for some companies in their flagships and receiving a lot of good reviews of the International media.

Despite the Helio X10 good performance, it lacked a bit of appeal, and for the more exigent, power, to be called a truly flagship processor. For that reason, Mediatek presented their newest Helio X20, that will going to be the best processor by Mediatek until the date.

The Helio X20 deca-core architecture consists of three clusters, being four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz for the simple tasks, four clocked at 2.0GHz for more hardware intensive tasks, and two Cortex A72 cores clocked at whooping 2.5Ghz for when you need all the grunt, all at once.
This week Mediatek has teased on their Twitter page a picture suggesting the capability of taking up 32MP selfies plus fast focus technology on their Helio X20. Until now, we haven’t seen a sensor natively capable of taking 32MP pictures, without the help of software tricks… anyway if in the next year some 32MP sensors pops out, Mediatek wants to make clear that their processor can support it.
